What We Did
To uncover first-person perspectives, we designed a comprehensive student-journey mapping initiative grounded in guided reflection and one-on-one discussions.
Recruited 57 students across multiple stages, supporting robust transfer student enrollment journey mapping, graduate student decision-making analysis, and in depth interviews with undergraduate students
Conducted 45-minute online in-depth interviews (IDIs) with a professional moderator as part of an online IDI study with prospective students
Asked participants to share their personal journeys, generating rich college choice analysis insights
Explored cost, proximity, academic programs, and long-term goals through structured enrollment behavior analysis
Guided students through the creation of a visual journey map to support detailed academic pathway research
Conducted all interviews via Zoom as webcam-based VDIs, forming part of a broader education journey mapping research Philadelphia initiative
